The DUNK Basketball program is the cornerstone of our organization and has allowed us to appeal to children from the communities we work in. We find abandoned community spaces and refurbish these into a safe and inclusive play zone for women and children in which we provide free sports equipment as well as friendly coaching. The lack of appropriate sports gear contributes to a barrier for children when it comes to exercising their right to play or participate in a sport or physical activity which is very important for their physical well-being and development. The provision of these resources also helps us to minimize violence as practicing sports with no supervision could promote hostile behavior among children and the exclusion of the weak.

We believe the children can influence change in their community.
In any collective sport, players have to work hand in hand to achieve a common goal. The victory depends on the effort of all.
Players have to commit themselves to train on specific days & make sacrifices for the benefit of the team.
Coming from different backgrounds, we learn how to respect individual differences as well as respect the rules established by the team.
We are teaching the kids to trust in themselves, to stand up for what they believe and resist peer pressure.
